Legend has it that Café de Olla, this remarkable beverage, originated during the Mexican Revolution. Adelitas, Mexican revolutionary women, would prepare a hot drink for the soldiers, infusing it with spices and piloncillo (a type of unrefined cane sugar) to create its unique and flavourful essence.

For 2 liters you need:

  • A pot (preferably made of clay, but any type will do)

  • 45 grams of Chocolate Coati Espresso

  • 1 cinnamon stick

  • 40 grams of piloncillo or brown sugar

How to prepare Café de Olla?

After the preparation, filter your coffee with a strainer or a paper filter into your cup or a dispenser. Enjoy this coffee with a concha or any pastry of your preference. Cheers!
